Interesting concept. I don’t think it would work for me, but it might for babyboy for portion control. I never could get the idea “use a smaller plate and you’ll eat less.” No I won’t. I’ll just go back for more if I’m still hungry.
Even the You on a Diet doctors stress portion control – portions shouldn’t be any larger than your fist.
Uh, not me. I have small hands. The only thing I do use that technique on is nuts, or dried fruit.
We use 8 1/2 inch paper plates. Rarely use plates that need soap when done. We use plastic bowls for pasta and stuff like that.
My salad bowl is huge. I like a large salad bowl, simply because I like to keep the salad in the bowl. If I use a smaller bowl, I get more salad on everything else – a salad must be tossed, ya know.
