Talk about cardio!
I’ve run my fool butt off so far this week. My first day at work – they put me on a catering function.
I’m serious about the cardio workout. On the first day, I got to a point that I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I had to go to the freezer for 5 minutes and cool down. We rarely stopped. Yesterday I was on the floor and ran around there too.
Definitely physical stuff. Will I survive? If I don’t re-learn how to walk in the kitchen, at the very least I’m going to fall on my butt.
I’m using back muscles, leg muscles, butt muscles and arm muscles. Toe muscles too. I’m having difficulty eating enough calories, although I’ll adjust my eating back up to where it’s supposed to be. I’m not hungry, plain and simple – I’m too tired to eat. I dropped 5 pounds but I know it’s water. One can’t help but lose a little weight in this place: it’s huge.
So I find myself with a full schedule this week. This is because one of the girls who works there happens to know a former boss and happened to see her over the weekend who apparently gave glowing references.
I have another catering affair to work tonight. I’m told during the season it’s non stop work.
And, we’ve gone swimming 4 times this week. I wonder if I’m overdoing it??
