Weigh In and other Miscelleanous Ramblings

I have been keeping track of me [tag]food log[/tag] locally. I found myself with a temporary job and have been so busy I haven’t had time for much else. If anything, I haven’t been [tag]eating[/tag] nearly enough: I’ve been trying to keep my [tag]calorie intake[/tag] at least at 1200 calories. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t. Through it all I’ve been sticking to it though- a couple of nites KFC or Pizza Hut sounded *real* good….but I didn’t do it! The only reason I was tempted with the afore-mentioned restaurants is pure laziness- I simply didn’t want to cook.

It’s been so long since I’ve been in the outside work world, I forgot what it’s like. I’ve been working from home since 2001.

At any rate, this morning I got on the [tag]scale[/tag] and discovered I’ve lost 26 lbs. Whee! I am on day 100.

Exercise. The [tag]walking[/tag] thing never did really work out, the [tag]cycling[/tag] has been intermittent. But Saturday, I took baby boy to the park to hit some baseballs for a science project.

I managed to hit some balls and not drop dead. Heck I wasn’t even out of breath! A week before that we went to [tag]Parrot Jungle[/tag] and walked around for several hours and that didn’t kill me.

I’m getting better it seems.

While at the park Saturday, an idea began to form. The park has [tag]paddleball courts[/tag]. I used to love playing paddleball in high school – and [tag]tennis[/tag] – not that I was ever any good, but running around and hitting the ball was fun, go figure.

So yesterday, on my way to get babyboy, I went by Kmart, picked up a couple of cheapie tennis rackets and some balls and took him over to play – can’t really call it paddleball – more like – let’s see if we can hit the ball and keep it going. I daresay I did pretty good considering I haven’t touched a tennis racket since what – 1978? I woke up today and I can still move, too! A bonus. Babyboy played by himself for awhile, he started getting the hang of it.

We’re going to make a point to go 5 days a week. The [tag]exercise[/tag] did babyboy a world of good as well.
