Man! Talk about a huge difference.
OK. Regarding sugar. Yesterday I literally dumped cinnamon on my oatmeal. So bad that there was no way I could eat it all. I tried – I had no more oatmeal made and it takes at least a half hour to make.
So I decided on Kashi Go Lean Crunch. Big mistake. It’s got 12 grams of sugar, and the sugar is high up on the label. I only ate a 1/4 cup too. Brain immediately went into disappear mode.
The second thing: It was ice cream day at babyboy’s school. I think he made a fairly good choice- the ice cream bar was low fat and 15 grams of sugar. However….
I had to peel him off the ceiling once he got home. Homework sucked, it’s like he forgot everything, and he hasn’t been like that for a week.
It’s amazing to see the effects sugar had on us both. He was even teasing me: Mom, where’s your brain? I was big time tired, too – I’ve not had that problem since starting the diet. I had a cup of coffee about 5pm to make it thru.
