Day 60 – Food Log
Bad day today. Started off ok, ate my oatmeal, but I had to run mom around, and she, without fail, plans other stuff for me to do. So what should be a 1-2 hour gig turns into an all day affair, with me not being able to plan for it. On top of it, once we get back to her house, she sees this that has to be done, and that, and it has to be done *right now* or the world will end.
Meanwhile, I’m shaking uncontrollably because I’m freakin starving. I did go to the grocery store, but my blood sugar dropped so low that I couldn’t think straight (and you know how it is when you go into a grocery store hungry…), so I bought a jar of ragu, whole wheat pita, dried lentils and fat free cheese. Unfortunately, eating out is not an option right now.
Don’t have any turkey in the house: so desperately hungry, I ate a ham sandwich upon arrival home. Which helped but I’m guilt ridden about the freakin ham. And when I get like this I can’t seem to shake the blood sugar drop – it affects me all day. So, still starving, even though I did eat some fruit and yogurt, I cooked up whole wheat pasta, dumped a jar of ragu on it with the fat free cheese.. And it was good too. Unfortunately, I made a pig of myself and ate a bunch of the stuff, so I’m guilt ridden about that.
To add insult to injury, a friend of mine gave me Godiva chocolate. Godiva. CHOCO freakin LATE. It’s sitting here on the computer desk, calling my name. There are 5 pieces of chocolate in brightly wrapped paper – easter eggs. Godiva. I tried to force the other half to eat it, but as usual, he won’t listen to me.
