The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Obesity Society did a study and found that chewing gum before snacking helps reduce hunger.
Aside from the fact that I look like a cow chewing it’s cud when I chew gum, so I don’t touch the stuff, but I used to chew gum. And it never, and I mean never, helped with appetite control and weight management.
On the contrary, it used to make me hungry. I’m going to eat the house kind of hungry too.
And the study says that caloric intake was significantly reduced (please note the significantly) by a whole 25 calories. Wow. Shock and awe.
Um, significant for who? How many calories was in the gum?
