Staying Fit for the Summer
Have you been exercising all through the long cold winter, watching what you eat, working out and finally have begun to show some progress? Now, summer is here and you need some ideas on keeping in shape for the summer.
Keep up with your weight loss program until after summer is gone. This will increase your capability to keep up participation in your favorite sports all summer. You’ll continue with your diet, sticking to healthy food instead of heavy, fatty and fried meals.
When you think of summer, you think of all the great barbeques and the great food that comes with them. You’ll most likely indulge once or twice. Try to stay on your diet – it will keep the pounds away, but should you decide to cheat a bit, stick with chicken, dry salad that you can add your own dressing to, and baked potatoes – regular or sweet if possible. Eat fresh fruit. You can still stick with it, and go home and not kill yourself with guilt.
Just because it’s summer is no reason to give up your fitness regimen. You’ll better withstand the heat if you’re in shape. Walk, run, lift weights, swim, or ride your bike. Any exercise will be better for you and your health.
It doesn’t matter what kind of exercise you decide on, try to make it fun. Use this time to relieve stress after a trying day, or hang out with family for some quality time.
Stay busy and keep up with your weight loss and exercise routine all summer, and you will continue to look and feel your best at any function you attend. After the summer is over, continue with your efforts to reach your goals: because it really never ends. Soon, you’ll have the holidays to tackle!
