So babyboy and I were watching TV and a Dexatrim commercial came on. Babyboy wants to know if he can take Dexatrim to lose weight.
Strange. I was having nearly the exact same thought when he said it – only the thought pertained to me, not him.
And it goes to show ya just what kind of mentality we have: oh take a pill and your problem will be solved.
So, I explained to him how life is not that easy, taking a pill will not make our problems go away, and that Dexatrim is not for kids. That he needs to learn to eat right and make the right food choices.
I am trying to teach him about food labels, even though we aren’t dieting yet. This isn’t going too well. In fact, it’s going right over his head. I was trying to point out to him just how much fat and fat calories a serving of potato chips is. He no wanna hear it.
I took Dexatrim years ago. Never followed the diet that went with it though, so I can’t speak to it, except that it didn’t work for *me*… but it did curb my appetite.
