Doctors Cancer and Shingles
This post is not really related to weight loss.
It’s related to shingles, cancer and doctors. And Moms.
Let me preface this with the small fact that my mom has lung cancer. She’s had radiation, and has been doing well for a year. She has never experienced any problems as a result of the lung cancer. Late last week she started experience a bit of pain.
I took my mother to the doctor today to see about it. 2 doctors, actually. Her doctor, regular doc, not the cancer doc, but the one she pays 1500.00 bux a year for thinks she has shingles. He’s not sure. She is experiencing pain in the lung where the tumor lives. But it’s not really pain, according to mom. It’s a soreness.
Her dermatologist, who she also saw today, thinks the 1500 dollar guy is fullabull.
So now, we’re waiting for a rash to appear. I don’t think it will, I think she’s got pleural effusion or pleurisy and the regular doc missed it.
For 1500.00 bux a year.
So now I’m gonna start hounding her about getting in touch with her cancer doc. I’ve already talked to her about it, but tommorow starts the full assault.
And on a weight loss topic: I started reading Our Lady of Weight Loss by Janice Taylor. I have yet to get very far since the last few days have been hectic.
I also need to reformat my computer.
