I’m way behind on my food log entries. In fact, I haven’t even recorded anything in my food log since Thursday. Haven’t blown the diet, just haven’t recorded my food.
I went to a girlfriend’s house on Friday, and she fed us lunch. Aware that I’m on a diet, she made a chickpea salad, mushroom, onion and pepper salad, both with olive oil, and fruit. It was delicious. And, I appreciated the fact that she recognized I am dieting. She’s always been thoughtful that way.
On Rachel Ray’s open house last night, I saw a dressing she used for a green and wax bean salad.
Consisted of fresh squeezed orange juice, hot sauce, olive oil with other ingredients and she said it was a base for other dressings… it looks like a great change from olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I can’t find the recipe on the Food Network site, but boy it sounded good. Alot of her recipes looked good. I had to quit looking last night because my mouth was watering!
